ARE YOU?

Are you?

  1. A wise man?

Or

2. Are you a foolish man?

Dictionary definition of a wise person — Characterized by wisdom : Marked by deep understanding; Keen discernment, and a capacity for sound judgment:

Dictionary definition of a foolish person: = An idiot, in modern use, is stupid or foolish person:

During conversations, you can usually tell if a person is wise or foolish by the way they talk or act:

In the natural — I have listened to a lot of people talk both in the natural as well as on the word of God and it goes not take much time to put them into either character of a (Wiseman) or a (Foolishman) character:

Today, we are going to see what the Bible says about a wise or foolish person:

Let’s look at what the Bible says about a wiseman: = Deuteronomy 34:9 — Now Joshua, the son of Nun, was full of the spirit of wisdom for Moses had laid his hand on him and the children of Israel listened to him and did as the Lord commanded Moses:

This scripture tells me that a wise person listens to commands: My Dad was in the army and he was taught how to take and obey commands from his leading officer, which were very important, if he wanted to live:

One mistake or disobedient person could cause casualties amongst the troop: He said there were a lot of men who died simply because they did not obey their commander:

Now — I am not saying that all who died was because they did not listen to their commander, but some of those disobeyed the orders and did something else and cost them their lives:

Let’s look at the Bible again and see more of a wise and a foolish person:

Matthew 25: 1-13 — Then the Kingdom of heaven shall be like ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Five of them were wise and five of them were foolish: Those who were foolish took their lamps but took no oil with them; But the wise took jars of oil with their lamps:

While the Bridegroom delayed, they all rested and slept: But at midnight there was a cry, Look! The bridegroom is coming, come out to meet him!

Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps, but the foolish said to the wise, “Give us some of your oil, for our lamps have gone out:”

The wise answered, “No, lest there is not enough for us and you: Go rather to those who sell it and buy some for yourselves:”

Verse 10 — But while they went to buy some, the bridegroom came and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet and the door was shut:

Verse 11 — After the other virgins came also saying, “Lord Lord, open the door for us:”

Verse 12 — But he answered, “Truly I say to you, “ I do not know you.” Verse 13 — Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming:

Now — These scriptures tell us both in the natural and supernatural of what will happen if you are not ready:

In the natural, without light you cannot see where you are going, you will stumble and fall or land in a ditch or a body of water or fall off of a cliff:

In the spiritual it simply brings out, that if you are not ready when Jesus comes — you will be left behind:

Those who are ready (born again) (or saved) will enter heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ:

Those who are not ready are those who have not made Jesus their Lord and so they will be left behind and eventually end up in hell:

Let me ask you today — Are you ready for the Bridegroom who is the Lord Jesus Christ? Will you go with the bridegroom into heaven where there will be peace, joy, and happiness? Or will you end up in hell in the lake of fire that never goes out?

No matter your argument, there is a heaven and there is a hell: You can look that up in the Bible about the rich man who went to hell:

Luke 16: 19-31 — English Standard Version — The Rich Man and Lazarus:

Verse 19 — There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day.

Verse 20 — And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores:

Verse 21 — who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table: Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores:

Verse 22 — The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried.

Verse 23 And in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side:

Verse 24 — And he called out, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame:

Verse 25 — But Abraham said, “Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things: but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish:

Verse 26 — And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us:

Verse 27 — And he said, “Then I beg you, father, to send him to my fathers house

Verse 28 — For I have five brothers — so that he may warn them, lest they come into this place of torment:

Vers 29 — But Abraham said, “ They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them:

Verse 30 — And he said, no Father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent:

Verse 31 — He said to him, “If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.”

Basically, verse 31 of Luke 16 tells us the true story of what happens to those who do not have not accepted Jesus as their Savior:

Will you accept him today?

Say this after me — Heavenly Father I choose today to make Jesus my Lord and Savior and make heaven my home:

If you said the short paragraph above and meant it from your heart, you are born again and your lamp is burning:

Now keep it burning by getting filled with the Holy Spirit:

Learn to pray in other tongues and keep your lamp full of the Holy Ghost oil:

Until next time — Remember: Jesus is Lord!
