Are you God's Sanctuary?

ARE YOU GOD’S SANCTUARY?

1 Corinthians 3: 16 --- (KJV) --- Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1 Corinthians 3:16 --- (The passion Translation) --- Don’t you realize that together you have become God’s inner sanctuary and that Spirit of God makes his permanent home in you? Notice here it says that the Spirit of God, makes your Spirit his permanent home: He has no plan of moving out, his plans are forever and ever:

We must realize that once we make Jesus Lord of our lives, Jesus comes to live in us and abides in us:

His living in us is based upon our acceptance of him. Once we truly make Jesus Lord, he moves into us and dwells there:

I want to make it clear, that once you accept Jesus as your Savior he is there forever, no matter how you act or what you do, he is abiding within you:

Prior to your Salvation, you were the sanctuary of the devil and his cohorts: You could not help but sin and go against God because the devil was motivating you to do so: But once you accepted Christ, the devil had no choice but to move out: He tries to get you to do the wrong thing and let him back in but we keep that door shut and welcome the King of Kings and Lord of Lords:

You might say, well I don’t act always like Christ dwells in me: I don’t always talk like Christ dwells in me: Well, he is not staying there because you act right or talk right or do everything correctly, he is there because you made a choice and invited him in:

His dwelling inside of you is not based upon your actions on a daily basis, he is there because you made a choice to make Jesus Lord of your life:

Your actions nor mouth can cause him to leave, however, the more time you spend with him, the more you will realize he is there:

Have you ever sat in your house with someone, but wandered if they were still there, because you did not hear their voice or did not hear them make a noise? Well, if that happens, sometime you feel like they left you alone and did not say goodbye:

Sometimes we feel the same with Christ indwelling us! We don’t hear his voice and we assume that he is gone or said, well they don’t want me, I am out of here!

No, no, no --- He is there, and he never changed. What you will find out is that you are silent and quit talking to him, you quit spending time with him, you haven’t opened the Bible for days, you haven’t prayed and thanked him for all he has done:

If you want to hear from him, you must talk to him, much like in the natural, if you want your spouse or your children to respond to you, you must first start the conversation:

I can personally say that I have never been a person to just sit down and carry on a conversation, or call someone on the phone and carry a conversation and that in its self has caused people to think I am not friendly or kind, but I am friendly and kind, just a quiet type of person:

What I am saying is this --- God is always there, he is waiting on you to start the conversation: He will wait on you to decide what you want to talk about and again, I am like that in the natural, very seldom do I start a conversation with someone, most of the time, they start it then I chime in:

I am not saying that, that is good, but that is usually how I operate in the natural: However, in the spirit realm, I have no problem starting the conversation: I don’t know what makes the difference, but it does:

We as parents desire to hear from our children as they grow up and especially after they move out on their own: Because I am one that usually don’t start the conversation, I wait until the other does, but that don’t mean I don’t love them or care for them, or I don’t want to hear from them --- No just the opposite, I want to hear from them:

Now, I have Grandchildren, I have changed somewhat, and I do start the conversation, I initiate calls or text just to be able to talk to them:

But God is not like that – He will urge you to talk, but he waits for you to start the subject:

You might say, well he knows beforehand what I want, why do I need to start a conversation --- Well, yes he does know, but like all loving parents and grandparents, you want to hear their voice, even though you already know what they are going to say: You just want to here them voice their requests:

He wants to have fellowship with you much like in the natural, it gets very boring when you have no one to fellowship with: He want all of his children to fellowship with him daily not just on Sunday:

Be his sanctuary will he feels welcome, where he feels wanted and call him Father, he likes that:

This should be an everyday occurrence not just once in a while or just when you wants something:

Just like in the natural, just a call from your children or grandchildren to say --- “I called to say, I love you”.
