“BEING FULLY PERSUADED.”
Have you ever hit your thumb with a hammer? I bet you were fully persuaded or convinced, not to do that again:
I have done that before and that hurts, and I quickly decided to not do that again:
I paid close attention to what nail I was hitting, when using that hammer: It fully persuaded me and convinced me not to do that. Ouch!
In God’s word, we need to become fully persuaded: We need to become fully convinced the word works:
If you are not fully persuaded the word works, it will be the same as hitting your thumb with a hammer over and over again! How dumb is that? How many times do you need to hit your thumb with the hammer to find out that it hurts and is not the thing to do?
Faith is being fully persuaded that the word of God is true and works, no matter what comes against you or what negative words spoken to you or belittling that comes against you:
Being fully persuaded is letting your light shine, no matter what goes on around you:
As a child growing up, we used to sing, “I’m going to let my little light shine.”
These may not be the exact words, but it went something like this:
Letting my little light shine!
Hide it under a bushel, No! I am going to let it shine, hide it under a bushel, No! I will let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine:
Don’t let satan blow it out, I’m going to let it shine, don’t let satan blow it out, I’m going to let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!
Let it shine till Jesus comes, I’m going to let it shine, Let it shine till Jesus comes, I’m going to let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!
This is being totally convinced that God’s word is true:
Pursue God and his word daily: Set aside every day for study, prayer and meditation of the word:
I also found out that reading the word of God out-loud has great benefits to it: When you read out-loud, you hear it spoken through your outer ear as well as your inner ear:
Next to reading and studying, you need to pray, both in the spirit and in your native language and do it out-loud as well:
In order to be fully persuaded, you must cut the following items:
A) Negative thoughts
B) Negative words
C) Negative friends and yes relatives
D) You must be persuaded in spirit that
1) God is true!
2) God’s word is true!
3) God is not a liar!
4) Most of all --- He is real!
The dictionary definition of persuaded:
1) Cause (someone) to do something through reasoning or argument:
2) Cause (someone) to believe something, especially after a sustained effort, convince:
3) (of a situation or event) Provide a sound reason for (someone) to do something:
Overall --- the real definition is to be fully convinced of something:
Again, back to the beginning of this teaching: Remember, the hitting of your thumb or finger with the hammer? (which brought a lot of pain)
You were completely convinced that, that was not a good thing to do! (some of us hard-headed people did not learn that the first or second time, but pain finally taught us a lesson:
Satan is a liar and a thief: He will use any tactic, person, or thought, or thing to keep you from letting your light shine and keep you from being completely persuaded:
This lifestyle of being fully persuaded is not easy at first, but the more diligence you put into it, the easier it will become:
Diligence = Diligence is one of the seven heavenly virtues: Diligent behavior is indicative of a work ethic – a belief that work is good in itself: Diligence is carefulness and persistent effort or work:
Diligence will lead you to be fully persuaded: It is according to dictionary definition, a persistent effort or work:
Believe me, that definition is very true: There will be a lot of distractions brought to you, to distract you from God’s word and from prayer, but you need to be persistent in order to be persuaded that what God said is true:
REMEMBER: JESUS IS LORD!
