CLOSE IN THE GAP!
WHAT YOU VALUE, YOU WILL PARTAKE OF!
What do you value?
House?
Vehicle?
Dog or cat?
Jewelry?
Money?
There are many things in life that we value and there is nothing wrong with that as long as you have your priorities in the right place:
No matter how you list the above, your main value should be ---
Jesus Christ
The Holy Spirit
The written word of God
After the above, comes everything else in life:
We have all, throughout our lives, placed importance on the wrong thing:
We get side-tracked by the human side of us instead of the spiritual side and as we do, we get off course and drift away from God, which is the highest value that you have:
As we drift away from God and his Word, we leave an opening for the devil to step in and close the gap:
The devil is constantly going back and forth throughout this world seeking whom he may devour:
He is a sneaky one and enters when he sees your guard down or an area of your spiritual wall is weak:
We must close the gap with prayer and thanksgiving to God and the study of the word of God:
Keeping the gap closed cannot be a here and now thing, it must be constant: The enemy is like a snake, he can slither in through the smallest crack.
Some of these cracks, to us, don’t seem important, but they are: Any crack in our faith or walk with God, the enemy will try his best to slither in that crack:
You might say --- I had a bad day today and got angry and shot my mouth off: Well, don’t punish yourself, accept that as sin, confess the word and ask God to forgive you and close that gap:
When the enemy sees that gap closing, he gets out quickly for he will not hang around where the presence of God is:
This is why there is such an importance in praying in the Spirit: Praying in the Spirit, will close that gap:
We as Christians, should be praying in the Spirit on a regular basis: You might say, I can’t find time for that!
Well, let me ask you a couple of things:
Do you drive yourself to the grocery store?
Do you drive yourself or ride to work?
Do you take a shower or a bath?
All of the above is a very small lists of times we can pray in the Spirit: We don’t even have to do it out-loud, we can just pray quietly or mutter words of faith while we drive or even ride with someone else:
If we pray or speak the word from our hearts/Spirits, we are doing our part in closing the gap:
I find there is nothing in the word or in what God has instructed us to do that is to hard:
Sometimes we make it look like it is hard! Sometimes we feel it is hard and we just don’t have the time: Well, as I said above, the enemy will find that crack, no matter how small it is and slither in like a snake:
Again, you can be walking around walmart grocery shopping and quietly be praying in the spirit: You can be sitting alone watching TV and pray in the spirit:
Saying that you don’t have time is just not a true statement: Everyone has time, you just got to retrain yourself to do it:
Get your values or your areas of importance in the right spot and see and watch the gaps close and less and less action from the enemy:
The enemy will invade your thinking process even while watching a christian broadcast or program: Your mind will wander off even while in church.
You might say, does the devil go to church? Yes he does that is where he does most of his deceiving: He will go from one person to another to see who he may devour:
