When upon life's billows, You are tempest tossed, When you are discouraged thinking all is lost
Count your many blessings, Name them one by one, And it will be surprise you, what the lord has done.
Count your blessings, Name them one by one, Count your many blessings see what God has done.
Count your blessings, Name them one by one, count your many blessings See what God has done.
Are you ever burdened With a load of care? Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings every doubt will fly, And you will keep singing As the days go by.
Count your blessings name them one by one, Count your blessings See what God has done,
Count your blessings Name them one by one, Count your many blessings See what God has done.
So, amid the conflict whether great or small, Do not be discourage, God is over all, count your many blessings, Angels will attend, help and comfort give you till your journey's end.
Count your blessings name them one by one, Count your blessings see what God has done, Count your blessings, name them one by one, count your many blessings see what God has done.
Count your blessings name them one by one, count your blessings see what God has done.
I know this is not the full version, but this is an old song and the best I could find:
When you take time to think about the many blessings that God has done in your life, it would actually surprise you:
I know this for myself and bet it to be for you to, I never really knew all the blessings God has done in my life, until I got into his word, saw what he promised and noticed that what he promised came true. That is a blessing:
We get to busying around with things in our life and sometimes the day is over, and you haven’t even taken time to pray! I know if that is true for me, it is also true for you:
We are facing a lot of distractions in these days with the virus that is going on, the Presidential elections coming up: Prices soaring because of the shut-down and we sit and wonder what we are to do:
Well, this might not be what you want to hear, but Count your blessings: I know that God has blessed you! Do you have a roof over your head, does your car still run? Do you have food in your fridge, it may not be much, but pray the blessing on what you have:
Do you have food on the table, clothes to wear, a roof over your head? These are just a few minor things, but still important:
We need to be studying the word, praying, not only for ourselves but for friends, relatives and those who may have done you wrong!
I know I hit a nerve on that last one, but it is still true and important. You see, if you are willing to pray God’s blessing on the person or persons that hurt you, you will see how that will bless you:
We also find ourselves doing the me, me, me thing when we pray or sit and think: However, if we would learn to take the me out of the equation, we will find that our needs and desires come to pass as well:
I want to add this, it is not God punishing your or holding you back from the blessing, but you yourself is the one holding up the blessing:
Everything in life operates by faith, even the negative is by faith! Now let me clarify that! Faith can be positive or negative, depending on who you are believing and trusting.
God will not react to selfish prayers or prayers that is not based upon his word: God will only respond to prayers done in faith and in order to do it by faith, it must be promised in his word.
Faith is the force that moves God: We find ourselves sometimes saying or thinking, why am I still going through this horrible thing or why am I still hurting even after I prayed? Let me ask you this! Are you in faith? Is what you are praying for backed by the word of God? Are you seeing your answer by faith or by your natural eyes?
You must see your answer by faith first before you see it in the natural: Faith is not something you wake up in the morning with, no, faith must be built up like a muscle person building his or her muscles:
Faith is a daily thing, not a now and then thing, but something you do as regular as breathing:
God and our Lord Jesus are looking for those who will react to what he has said in faith: Even in the old testament, those who made it to the hall of fame as to speak, had to get their blessing by believing that God would do what he said he would do:
Go to the word and read about the men and women of faith, study them: Abraham was 75 years old when God told him that he would be the Father of many nations: Well the child was not born until he was a hundred years old! Wow! Abraham had to believe God for that promise: Had he had wavered during that time, Isaac and Jacob would not have been born. If that would have happened, could he have truly blamed God?
No, he had to look at the situation through the eye of faith and not listen to those naysayers or scoffers:
It is no different today, we cannot listen to the naysayers, scoffers or negative people as such:
We must continue in faith, giving God thanks rather we see it or not:
Know this, God is always faithful! God will always come through: How many of us are willing to believe God for 25 years with not being able to see the promise come to pass yet?
We sometimes find ourselves like a little infant baby crying for his or her bottle! They want it now! They want you to have it made up and ready to put it into their mouth now, when they make the first cry:
That is a natural thing that a Baby wants, but add this, they are acting in faith as small and young as they are because they trust that Mom and Dad will react at the first cry of hunger or dirty pants they have:
God will react the same way, when we have the same faith as a baby, to know that God will give you what you need, just like a natural Mother or Father will react to their asking.
