R.B. Richard Blanchard
Verse 1 --- Like the woman at the well I was seeking For the things that could not satisfy and then I heard my Savior speaking, “Draw from my well that never shall run dry.”
Verse 2 --- There are millions in this world who are craving The pleasure earthly things afford. But none can match the wondrous treasure ------ that I find in Jesus Christ, my Lord.
Verse 3 --- So, my brother, if the things this world gave you leave hungers that won’t pass away, My blessed Lord will come and save you --- if you kneel to Him and humbly pray ----
Chorus: --- Fill my cup, Lord, I lift it up, Lord --- Come and quench this thirsting of my soul. Bread of heaven, feed me till I want no more, Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole:
This song says it all: We need to be constantly full of the word of God:
Dig into the word daily: We all eat three meals per day in the natural, and it keeps us growing: Think about it, if we ate in the natural like some eat the word of God, we would wither away!
Now it is the same with the word of God, we can grow in word and in faith and remain spiritually healthy:
There are a lot of spiritual restaurants out there, (church); (Radio); (Television), (DVDs), (Cd’s) (You Tube), etc.
There is now in today’s world, no excuse not to have places or abilities to fill your cup daily and keep it full:
Most of us have refrigerators and freezers full of food of some type, well, fill your spiritual freezers with the word, then all you have to do is get a dinner out, heat it up and enjoy!
I know this writing is short, but as I said at the beginning, this song says it all:
REMEMBER: JESUS IS LORD!
