Fly like an eagle

WAITING ON THE LORD!

Isaiah 40:20-31 King James version:

Verse 29--- He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might. He increaseth strength:

Verse 30 --- Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Verse 31 --- But they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint:

Isaiah 40:20-31 --- The message Bible:

He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts: For even young people, tire and dropout, young folks in their prime stumble and fall:

But these who wait upon God gets fresh strength: they spread their wings and soar like eagles, they run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind:

In these scriptures we see the word wait: According to strong s exhaustive concordance - wait = a prim root; to bind together (perh. By twisting) to expect, gather (together), look patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon):

I like to look at this scripture that says, wait on the lord and would be good to say it this way: those who are bound together or twisted together expecting patiently for what our faith is looking for:

Notice! It does not say, to worry; twist your fingers, cross our legs; beg or toil!

It means simply to bind ourselves to the Lord, believing that what we asked for, will come to pass:

Faith also takes patience which sometimes seems hard: It sometimes seems to take longer than we want or think, but we need to be patient; and kind until the answer or manifestation comes: We need to have, what my Dad used to say, “ Have some stick-to-it-tiveness; which simply means in modern words and bible words – Do not waver or wonder around:

Waiting or binding ourselves to the lord will, as this scripture says, renew our strength; cause us to mount up with wings as eagles; then run and not be weary; walk and not faint:

Let’s look at the phrase, mount up with wings like eagles: I watch the eagles at my house with my granddaughters; It always amazes me how they take off majestically and smoothly as if it was no problem:

With that said, we should wait with patience and take off without a problem or wrong thinking:

If, when the eagle took off, he would sit there and say, “I wonder if my wings will lift me up today or not?” “I wander if my legs will give me the thrust needed to get off of this branch and fly?

No, the eagle just does the natural thing and takes off: We need to be exactly like the eagle when we are waiting on the lord in faith:

We need to trust our faith as the eagle trusts his/her legs and wings to get them into the air:

I like watching eagles, they are so majestic and so smooth; full of confidence so much that you do not see any of them fall to the ground in flight:

We need to be majestic in our take off in our faith walk:

We must be smoothly taking off in faith without looking back or wavering:

I noticed that the eagle never looks back in takeoff or in flight, they just keep their eyes on the goal or place they want to go:

He/she just let go of the branch and flies: Its flight is so smooth and seems very much at ease:

Our faith needs to be the same, it needs to work just as smoothly:

Another thing about the eagles, I noticed is, that the adult eagles teach their little ones how to fly:

We who are strong in faith need to teach younger Christians how to faith or fly like the eagles as an example:

I know and have heard people say, to young Christians, just take off: Well, everyone needs to be taught or trained:

We must teach/train the newbie’s how to believe God: Get them into a place that teaches faith; encourage them until they are about to mount up with wings of faith, like the eagles mount up naturally:

Don’t find yourself discouraging a new faith walker with negative talk: Be like a coach and constantly tell or instruct them that they can do it:

Let’s keep flying with our faith wings:

Let’s not be weary in well doing: Let’s be patient and kind in all we do:

See you in the next teaching:
