“I need thee every hour!”
Verse 1 --- I need thee every hour, Most gracious Lord, no tender voice like thine can peace afford:
Verse 2 --- I need thee every hour, stay thou nearby; Temptations lose their power when thou art nigh:
Verse 3: --- I need thee every hour, In joy or pain; come quickly and abide, or life is vain:
Verse 4: --- I need thee every hour, most Holy one; O make me thine indeed, thou blessed son:
Chorus: --- I need thee, O I need thee; Every hour I need thee: O bless me now, my savior, I come to thee!
We as humans, need Jesus every hour! Jesus desires us to spend time with him and I don’t mean --- “Hi Jesus, its me, love you and then that’s it and the end of your speech, or until we think of it again:
We actually owe God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ more than just a Hi! I love you! goodnight!
Jesus tells us to tithe unto him a tenth and a lot of us thought he was just talking about money: However, he was talking also along with money, a tenth of our time!
A tenth is 10%, so out of 24hrs, we need to spend at least 2.4 hrs. talking, praying, studying his word or in what way you or I desire:
Now, I am not saying that you need to stop everything you are doing, even though that would be good, for a total of 2.4 hours, however, you can spread your time with him as you do your shopping, cooking, cleaning, driving somewhere etc.
You can pray in the spirit or just carry on a conversation with him: you can just talk or pray as you cook, clean house or while on the job:
We must remember, he loves to hear from his children: How many of you love or enjoy it when your children call you or stop by and not want anything but to just spend time with you?
I know, as for myself, I love it when my children or grandchildren come to visit just to see how I am doing or especially say, “I love you Dad!” or “I love you Pa Pa!”
That means so much to me: Well, God the Father and Jesus reacts the same: They love hearing their children, not asking for anything, but just coming to him and saying, “I love you Father God and Lord Jesus!” “I appreciate you being my Father and the fact that you will never leave me: I am not asking for anything, I just want to say, I love you and I want to spend time with you.”
His heart desires this more than we realize: Don’t just say the old prayers, God is Great, God is Good, let us thank him for this food, Amen! Or Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray my soul to keep. If I die before I awake, I pray my soul you take” Amen! If you pray these prayers especially the last portion, get rid of them. For if Jesus is in your heart, then when you die, you will go to be with him!
Make your talk important just like you want your children or grandchildren to talk to you: Not asking for anything, just say, “I love you and thank you for being in my life!”
Let me say this, there is nothing wrong in asking for things, but I am just saying, don’t make that the only time you talk to him.
BE HAPPY AND ENJOY A HAPPY THANKSGIVING :
REMEMBER, GOD LOVES YOU AND JESUS IS LORD!
Every moment with God is a much better moment!
