HOW OFTEN DO YOU SPEND TIME WITH JESUS?

Verse 1 --- I once was lost in sin but Jesus took me in, And then a little light from heaven filled my soul; He bathed my heart in love and wrote my name above, And just a little talk with Jesus made me whole.

Verse 2 --- Sometimes my path seems drear, without a ray of cheer, And then a cloud of doubt may hide the light of day; The mists of sin may rise and hide the starry skies, But just a little talk with Jesus clears the way.

Verse 3 --- I may have doubts and fears, my eyes be filled with tears, But Jesus is a friend who watches day and night; I go to Him in prayer, He knows my every care, And just a little talk with Jesus makes it right.

Chorus --- Now let us Have a little talk with Jesus let us tell Him all about our troubles, He will Hear our faintest cry and He will answer by and by; Now when you Feel a little prayer wheel turning and you know a little fire is burning, You will Find a little talk with Jesus makes it right:

Now let me ask you again the title of this teaching: How often do you spend time with Jesus:

You know, Jesus came from the Father God, who was the creator of all things, came down to earth to be born as a human being, just so he could give his life for you, so he could fellowship with us and you could receive eternal life and live with him:

Also, too many times we get busy with the concerns of our lives here on earth, with troubles all around us wandering what we should do: Sometimes we sit around fretting, worrying and saying negative things instead of turning our hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ:

We sit and wring our hands with worry, call our friends, Mom’s and Dad’s brothers and sisters with our worries and concerns:

We need to set ourselves to speak to the mountain (problem) with the word of God: We need to open the word of God, find and read scriptures about what we are worrying about:

We must also understand, that Jesus is the ultimate peacemaker: We need to understand he cares for us no matter how large or small the problem is:

Jesus has the answer and sometimes he will directly tell you the answer and sometimes, he will direct you to scriptures that cover that issue:

One of the biggest problems in this world is that human beings don’t spend enough time talking to the Father or the Lord Jesus Christ: We need to also know, there is a devil trying to cloud our minds and spirits over, so we don’t spend the time with Jesus:

The Father God and the lord Jesus Christ cares about you more than you think: Just sit down, read about and think about all Jesus did and went through while he was on the earth:

He was beat with whips; rods etc. which was bad enough, but what would it be like to be nailed to a cross, when you are still alive or have a crown of thorns bashed into your head and a spear stuck through your side: That is more than I want to fathom or think about and yet he took the beatings, the nailing, the spear, the crown of thorns for our salvation:

You see, it was because of Adam, the first human created and sinned against God and turned his authority over to the devil:

Adam, when created was given authority to be on earth as God was in heaven: He was to create a heavenly atmosphere on earth: He was to have the power to create on earth, but he turned that authority over to satan at the fall of mankind:

Just think about what it would be like to have such bliss and peace here on earth: Just think about you speaking something you want and it appears: that was God’s plan: But Adam chose to listen to the serpent (the devil) instead of running him out of here: He told Adam to replenish the earth: Adam could have replenished the earth with all of the wonderful things, beautiful flowers; trees and plants as you have never seen before:

Adam had the ability within him to be able to create, but again, he turned it over to the devil who created death, turmoil, destruction and defeat:

This is why Jesus had to come down and give his life: He came to destroy the devil and restore mankind:

You say, how come we are still living in this cursed world? Why aren’t we living in bliss all of the time: Because Adam was given a 6 thousand year lease on earth and when he sinned against God by listening to satan, he turned the earth lease over to satan: When this 6 thousand years are up, there will be a new heaven and new earth and no satan to destroy it:

Think about that, living without pain, sickness or any torment forever: living forever in the blessing: being able to be as Adam was created and call for a garden to grow vegetables or flowers etc. instead of toiling like we do now:

Remember --- Jesus did it all for you and I: We can now live in peace while still living in a messed up world: He paid the price, it is now up to us to act like God and call those things that be not as though they were: That’s why we call ourselves healed when we still feel sick: That’s why we say we are rich, even when we don’t have two nickels to rub together: That’s calling those things that be not as though they were: That’s why we can walk in divine health even when the doctors say you need an operation:

REMEMBER: when you are down, depressed, sick or just wondering why things are like they are “JUST HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS AND HE WILL MAKE IT RIGHT:”

REMEMBER: JESUS IS LORD!
