PRAISE HIM ALL OF THE TIME!
1 Praise him, praise him, praise him in the morning, praise him in the noontime. Praise him, praise him, praise him when the sun goes down.
2 Love him, love him, love him in the morning, love him in the noontime. love him, love him, love him when the sun goes down.
3 Trust him, trust him, trust him in the morning, trust him in the noontime. Trust him, trust him, trust him when the sun goes down.
4 Serve him, serve him, serve him in the morning, serve him in the noontime. Serve him, serve him, serve him when the sun goes down.
5 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus in the morning, Jesus in the noontime. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus when the sun goes down. Source: Complete Anglican Hymns Old and New #564
We see in the above song, which you don’t hear much anymore, but we sang it a lot as I was growing up, how much we should praise our Savior Jesus Christ:
Praise him in the morning; Praise him in the noontime: Praise Him when the sun goes down:
This looks like to me, we should be praising him every day, in every situation, in any place:
Notice: I did not say praise him for everything! You don’t want to praise him for calamity or other negative things that happen
Look again: Praise him in everything: No matter what we are going through, we need to praise him (not for the situation) but praise him in and during the situation:
That can be hard to do especially when the situation is hurting you or has happened to a member of your family:
It is something that does not happen overnight, but comes through time as you get to know him like a brother or sister:
Well, how do we get to know him like a brother or a sister? Let me ask you a question! Did you or do you still live with a Mother, Father, Sister or Brother? Did you hang out with them, play and talk with them?
Did you go with your parents and the rest of the family to a park to play or have a picnic?
If you did the above, you hung out with them: Well you must hang out with God the Father and Jesus Christ to have fellowship with them and continue a family relationship, since you made Jesus Lord:
You can’t have a very good relationship with the Father or the Lord Jesus Christ if the only time to spend with him is the two hours in church:
I grew up with a great family relationship, not only with my Mother, Father, brother and sister’s but with cousins as well.
I had built up such a good relationship, that after I moved to Oklahoma from Pennsylvania, we would travel back and enjoy family relationships while we were there.
Those times were precious, and I have a lot of memories of those times: You might say, did you and your sibling argue when you got together? Sometimes, but we did not lose our relationship because we had an argument. We kept the relationship through it all:
I don’t travel back as much now as I did but still have the memories of those days: God and Jesus are looking for that same type of memories, and say (as Mom and Dad used to say) well our Son came home or when they come out to visit us, we would get excited because we could fellowship together again:
Fellowship = Friendly association with people who share one’s interests:
Do you share the same interests as Jesus and God the Father has? Do you have the same likings as God the Father and Jesus have? Do you have the same desire to get together and fellowship as the Father God and Jesus do?
You ask, how do I have or create this fellowship, they are not here in person! Well you fellowship with them by prayer, just sitting and talking to them, you give them time in praise for your salvation, healing and life:
You also fellowship when you set aside your normal activity, sit down and read the word or pray in your natural language as well as your spiritual language which you received when you received the in-filling of the Holy Spirit:
He is always there when you want to spend time with him: He said in his word, he will never leave you nor forsake you: This is the difference between God the Father and your family, he lives inside of you and you don’t have to travel to talk to him or pick up a phone to do so: He is right there with you, just open your mouth and talk to him:
You don’t have to have a special voice or a professional language, you just talk to him quietly or out loud! You don’t have to get on your knees or lay down , but you can talk to him while you do dishes or mowing the lawn, driving to a store or whatever you plan to do, just include him in your plan:
Enjoy your talk!
