THE MIRROR OF THE WORD!

THE MIRROR OF THE WORD OF GOD!

Looking in a mirror , what do you see? You usually see yourself as you are, but I am going to ask you a question:

Which mirror are you looking at?

  1. Your natural mirror which reflects you as you are in the natural:

  2. The mirror of the past?

  3. The mirror of failure?

  4. If you go to a carnival, you can look in mirrors that twist you all up, mirrors that turn you into a monster:

One thing is, a mirror never lies! It will tell the truth every day:

Today I want to teach you on this subject:

“The mirror of the word of God.”

The mirror of the word of God, will show you the new you: The mirror of the word will never show you an image of the past! The mirror of the word will not be like those at a carnival and show you an image that is all twisted up and snarly:

The mirror of the word will reflect the present after you made Jesus the Lord of your life!

The mirror of the word will show you who you are in Christ: and what he did for you after you changed mirrors:

If all you see when looking in the mirror is what you were before Christ, get rid of that mirror: Break that mirror and look through the mirror of who you are in Christ:

When you accepted Jesus as your Savior, your reflection changed:

II Corinthians 5:21 --- God made him (Jesus) who had no sin, to be sin for us, so that in Him We might become THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD!

Jesus became righteous through his death, burial and resurrection: Well, when we are born again, we accept who and what Jesus is: We are made in his image:

When we make Jesus our Lord, we die to self (spiritually speaking) and our old ways become new:

We are new creatures in Christ:

II Corinthians 5:17 says --- Therefore if any man (or woman) be in Christ he or she is a new creation: Old things are passed away; behold, all things become new:

Verse 18 --- And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation:

Notice in the above scripture, the words (any man) be in Christ, he is a new creature: Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new:

Now, if all things have become new --- That means there is a new image: (Remember, we are talking about the spirit of man) Your image changed when you accepted Christ!

Well, if your image changed when you accepted Christ --- How does your image look now?

You are now seeing a different image: You are not the same person you used to be:

Remember, I am not saying, your outward appearance changes, but the inner man, the real you on the inside has changed: You see a different image:

In order to see this New Image, you must look at it through the Mirror of the word:

When you look in this mirror and see the new you, you and others will be able to see the change:

When I was little, we sang a song in Sunday School that said --- Let the Son Shine in, face it with a grin: Well, when we let our light shine, we should let the Son Jesus shine through us and when we do, we will see a different image:

This new image must be revealed to others, no matter where we go: (Don’t be like a chameleon who changes depending on the crowd you are with:

A mirror is constant as long as you stand in front of it, but when you step away and put on different clothes or a mask, The image in the mirror changes:

The same happens in the christian walk --- If you change image according to who you hang out with, those that look at you will see the changed image rather good or bad:

We must stay constant with the image of who we are in Christ:

Let's stop being chameleons and remain what and who we are in Christ: The image you should be constant in, is the one that will portray who you are in Christ:

We need to be little Christs, no matter the crowd: It's Christ in us the hope of Glory!

Now look --- THE NEW YOU!

REMEMBER: JESUS IS LORD!
