This song we used to sing when I was in Sunday School. I did not at the time, fully understand the importance of what was meant for me to let my light shine:
People always knew I was born again and raised in a Christian home where Dad and Mom taught us about Jesus etc.
Recently (Really as recent as last night,) I was woke up by the Lord with this song running through me and did not quit until I found the Lyrics.
Also, recently, the lord had told me that the reason why this world is in the shape it is in, is because we let go of the old songs that were sung and spoke about him.

As I was looking at these lyrics, I heard the Spirit of God say to me, these words are good for children to sing, but as we grow up physically and spiritually, we need to let the light of the word continually shine, no matter where we go or where we are.
If we are so filled with God, our faces, our speech, our actions should be portraying Jesus and our lights that are no longer little but growing larger and ought to shine like a beacon to the place that people see a light wherever we are.
I heard a minister, Jerry Savelle, say that one time, he and his wife were just walking in and out of different stores and at one store this Lady showed up and said that as she was walking through the mall, she saw a light go into one store and out and then into another store. She kept following that light until it stopped right over Jerry’s head. He was so full of god, that people were seeing a light.
That light was the Holy Spirit that was in brother Jerry. This is what the Holy Spirit was getting over to me, that we need to be so full of the holy Spirit, that his presence is plain to see by others around us.
The word and power of God should be seen by others, no matter where we are.
I want this in my life and will get this in my life so that people, when they see me, will see Jesus in me.
