What are you anchored to?

ARE YOU ANCHORED IN God’s WORD

OR ARE YOU IN A BATTLEFIELD OF THE MIND?

Try to be the first one to climb that mountain, because you are not a failure in God’s eyes:

All of us face mountains in our lives: These mountains are put into place by the enemy in order to discourage you from moving with God and staying in a victorious life:

Yes, life can be challenging, but God has given us the ability to overcome those challenges and this only happens when we do not let circumstances get in our way, but we overcome those circumstances with faith in the word:

I have said this before in other teachings, but it bares repeating: Living the life in the word, having faith in God, refusing to fear of any negative item the devil puts toward us, is worth the cost:

Fear is a strong hold which works much like the wind coming against a ship that is anchored to the shore or anchored to a strong hold out in the ocean: Lets talk about an anchor of a ship and what it does: When the ship is out at sea and the anchor is lowered to the bottom, no matter how big that ship is or how rough the waters are, when that anchor is lowered into the water to the bottom of the pool of water you are in, it will keep the ship from moving from that spot until the anchor is lifted out of the water:

Notice this, the anchor does not stop or keep the ship from rocking, but it does keep it from moving up or down the stream to destruction or loss of direction:

There is an anchor of our soul (mind, will and emotions) and his name is Jesus: When we put the anchor of our soul into the rough waters of life, we will not be moved: Just like an old song we used to sing that went like this: “I will not be, I will not be moved, I will not be, I will not be moved, just like a tree that is planted by the water, I will not be moved.”

I have been fishing in places that were surrounded by trees and when the waters got rough and choppy, those trees didn’t move and say, “ This is too hard for me to hold on, I am out of here.” No, those trees are anchored and unmovable by the wind and storm:

If we anchor ourselves in the word of God, we will be able to stand against the storms of life over and over:

If you were to take a little newly started tree and plant it in rough waters, what would happen? It would be pulled up and float down the stream: Why? Because it did not have time to anchor itself to something strong enough to hold it there!

Trees that are anchored and have been there a long time, and have their roots deep into the ground are unmovable by storms and waves:

Well, We need to have our roots planted deep into God’s word, like a tree, so we cannot be moved:

I would like to insert here a great book for you to read: --- It is by Joyce Meyer and is called “THE BATTLEFIELD OF THE MIND.”

You can find it in book stores or go to Joyce Meyer ministries and order it: It will help you understand what I am saying: I bought it and read it years ago and it opened my eyes to some truth of God’s word about this subject:

The mind is where our battle is, not in our born-again spirits, but in our minds:

Which one are you listening too? Mind or spirit? When you feel like a battle is starting, stop immediately and tell your mind to be quiet; then pray for a while in the spirit until you are back in focus with his word:

It may seem hard at first, but the more you follow these instructions, the more you will stay rooted in God’s word and be unmovable:

You will be anchored to a rock, the rock called Jesus:

Remember: Jesus is lord!
