What do you value?

“WHAT YOU DO MOST IN LIFE IS WHAT YOU VALUE.”

Is what you value the most, A) Money

B) Cars

C) Clothes

D) Family

E) Fishing/Hunting

All of us value different things in life and what you value the most is very extremely important in this world.

Worldly things are okay like going to a good movie, going fishing or hunting , having nice cars or trucks or even several classic cars etc. But these things should not be most valued in your life: It is good to have money, but sometimes we spend to much time trying to get money we forget about God, Family etc.

There is nothing wrong with watching a good movie, but again, what is most important in your life?

First and foremost, our most valued things in life should be in spending time in prayer, in the study of the word of God, talking to God the father as a child would talk to his earthly father.

How many times as I was growing up, I would sit and listen to my Mother , Father or grandparents, Uncles and Aunts and there was nothing wrong with that. There are plenty of things you can learn from talking to people like that.

There is nothing wrong with watching a good movie either, but again, what is most important to you: What do you value the most to cause you to be the best you that you could be:

There is a minister by the name of Jerry Savelle, that could tell you what I am about to say, is very true. Before his salvation, he was a paint and body man for repair vehicles.

He had his own shop and tools to do the job and do it right, but he was empty inside, things were not going well for him. He was spiritually dead:

One day, Jerry made a change in what was most important in life and he, --- First got born again. Second, because he had a call of God on his life, he placed the call of God first place.

He sold the business and went all out to obey God: As you follow his story, because of his obedience he don’t have a repair shop but has a shop full of classic cars:

Why? He put God first, trusted in him that what he promised would come to pass: Now we need to come to the same point and I am saying we, which is including myself, for I have not arrived there totally yet, but am learning more and more of what is most important.

Jerry’s entire family wants for nothing in life, because of Jerry’s obedience to obey God: Jerry has taught his children and grandchildren to do the same thing and as you follow them, you can see the great success:

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and others that I follow have very similar stories of success and all will tell you it happened after they made the choice to follow God and his word and do what God wanted them to do instead of what they wanted. Now they got what they wanted but this time it was with the power of the word of God and obedience to that word.

As I have said before, you have a choice as to what is most important:

A) God and his word or

B) Doing your own thing?

Let me ask you this question: how are you doing, by doing your own thing? Are you happy, successful? Do you have enough money that you can live a life of success and have plenty left over to give to your kids, Grand kids and Great Grand kids?

We need to search our hearts and I include myself, because I haven’t arrived to that point yet myself, but I am sure working on it:

Matthew 6:33 says --- But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Does the above scripture sound like what I have been saying? Now, what I am not saying is for you to quit your job! Jerry Savelle did, because God told him to: This is an area where you can get off of God’s path but trying to do what some successful minister has done: No, the key to this is for you to seek, what God’s plan is for you! Maybe, he wants you to stay with the same job you have, but seek him and his word first:

God can use your present job to bless you with a financial blessing: In all that I am saying, is to be obedient to God in all you do!

You might say, I am not good enough, I am not talented enough, I don’t speak with eloquent words, I don’t look like others do:

God never said in his word that you are blessed by your looks, talents or ability to talk a wonderful speech: All he wants is for you to Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness:

Seeking first the kingdom of God is:

1) Obedience

2) Study of his word

3) Praying both in English as well as in the spirit.

We have a responsibility as Christians and that is to do our part in spreading the gospel to a dying world of people that need him in their life, life you found out that you needed him.

The thing God has for you, might be big or it might be small, but being obedient is the top key:

Obedience to his word is the big answer to all of our problems in life. What we do in this life will either make us or break us.

Let us seek first the kingdom of God, Amen?
