WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?

Let’s look at Matthew 9:29 — Then he (Jesus) touched he their eyes, saying, According to (YOUR) faith be it unto you: Let me ask you a question — Where is your faith ?

Too many times we look at others to pray and use their faith, but what about you and your faith?

There is nothing wrong by having faith teachers or preachers pray for us, but too many times we put our trust in them instead of speaking words of faith ourselves:

Notice in verse 9:29 of Matthew, people came to Jesus to have him touch their eyes (and there is nothing wrong with that) but what did Jesus say — “according to your faith, be it unto you.” Why would Jesus say this?

I personally think that Jesus wanted to know if they had faith or not or just wanted him to do all of the work:

Each one of us needs to be so strongly developed in our faith that we just speak his word and we receive our healing or whatever we asked for!

Faith comes by hearing, but you and your mouth should be doing the work:

Also, this scripture is asking or stating “According to your faith be it unto you.”

This is why a lot of people get a partial healing when hands are laid upon them:

Their healing goes as far as their faith, then when they reach that point, their faith stops working:

There are several places in the word of God, that scripture say —”he could there do no mighty work, but heal a few: Why? — According to their faith:

Let's look at a bodybuilder — they press their body to keep pressing more and more weights in order to have a buff muscular body:

What if they only lifted 50lbs all of the time, but never increased the weights to build their muscles stronger?

They would remain at the same strength and not be able to do anymore: Well, Faith works in the same manor, you can build your faith to get rid of a cold, but could your faith be strong enough to save your life from a threatening disease?

This verse — jesus is saying “according to your faith, be it unto you: How far do you want to go in healing, prosperity or other promises of God?

How much healing or prosperity do you want?

1) All

2) Partial

3) Just enough to get by:

Jesus wants us to receive it all: He wants us to be blessed beyond measure: Well, to be blessed beyond measure takes a stronger faith than it would just to get your finger healed of a cut:

Another side of this is — that too many people expect to get results do to their trust in a faith preacher, just like in Jesus’ day, he wanted too get them to trust their own faith instead of relying on his faith all of the time:

Jesus knew that he could not report to the temple every day to heal a person or pray over and over for them to get daily relief and besides, Jesus moved from place to place to do what his Father wanted him to do:

This is why people get prayed for and the sickness or disease leaves them but in six months they are facing the same sickness, problem or disease:

Develope your faith to the point that when you tell the devil to leave your body alone, he runs from you in terror! Why? Because when you are in faith, he sees the blood of Jesus and he will flee in terror, he knows that you know what to do:

He (the devil) is afraid of the name and blood of Jesus: He will not cross that bloodline, he will not cross that kind of faith:

The devil is as much afraid of a person who knows who they are in Christ, as he is afraid of Christ himself:

So, It is according to your faith! Develop it and watch what happens!

How is your faith? How is your trust in the word? How is your faith in the fact that the devil runs in terror when you speak and pray in the name of Jesus?

Matthew 5:25 - 34 — Take the time to read this story especially what Jesus said to her in verse 34 — He said — Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole, go in peace and be whole of thy plague:

Let me ask you — Who’s faith made her whole? Jesus? A preacher? The disciples? No! — It was her faith!

How did she have that faith? Evidently she heard of Jesus and what he did for others and this built her faith to the point that she was made whole:

Real faith responds to the word of God, no matter of the surroundings, or who prayed for you:

It is according to your faith!

Build your faith on God’s word, speak it out of your mouth and believe it in your spirit and see what happens:

Remember: Jesus is Lord!
