Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is peace, there is peace!
Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Love, there is love! There is comfort in life’s darkest hour, there is light and life. There is help and power in the Spirit, In the Spirit of the lord: of the Lord!
Now, let me list the things this song writer has listed, that comes with the Spirit of the lord:
· Love
· Comfort
· Light
· Life
· Help
· Power in the spirit
· Peace
Love = Because God is love
Comfort = Because of God’s life and love, everything about us can be in comfort and not in torment:
Light = God’s word brings light and illumination to us so we can see all he has done for us:
Life = He, through the death and burial and resurrection of Jesus gave us life eternal and a promise to live with him forever:
Help = If we ask, he will help us in every way and everything in our life as long as it is in line with his word:
Power in the spirit = When we accept Christ as our savior he give us power to live life abundantly: He gives us power over the enemy, the devil: He gives us power over sickness and disease: He gives us power over anything that tries to defeat us and ruin our walk with him:
Peace= We are given peace which overrides worry when we put it to use: No matter what is going on around us, we as Christians, can laugh and be at peace:
Joy: = Rejoice: joy is a feeling of great pleasure and happiness: We can, as born-again Christians, live in Joy; Peace; happiness:
Power: All of this will come as you spend time with God: Spending time with God comes through reading and studying of his word and making it first place in our lives: The more we spend time in his word, we see that our lives change and the old us, the old way of living, is no longer who we are, but it shows that we are what he said in 2nd Corinthians 5:17 --- We are New Creatures in him: Therefore if any man (man – kind) be in Christ, he is a new creature: Old things (the old way of living) are passed away; behold, all things are become new:
Galatians 6:15 --- For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature:
That, my friend, means a total change, a total turn around from the way we used to live: It is a much better life, one free of sin and defeat:
We might still have some problems, but through Jesus and his word, we can become more than a conquer:
Romans 8:37 --- Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him that loved us:
Note: It did not say, we might be, but we are: It means, the moment we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are more than a conqueror:
Note: the words, “More than” they denote you are better than a conqueror: This happens because we no longer act in our own power, but we now have the power of God working a long side of us and with his power and his word, we can defeat anything the devil throws at us: We also must remember, he, the devil, was defeated at Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection:
The only power the devil has over you is the power you let him have: Your words, coming out of your new created spirit and mouth, will defeat the enemy and his tactics every time:
REMEMBER: JESUS IS LORD!
